For My Little Star is a home-based business run by Christi Allard. I had always had a love for babies and dolls of all kinds. As a little girl, I was never satisfied with how they looked. I would cut their hair, open their mouths so they could use pacifiers, paint teeth in their mouths, and even paint their little nails! I was always searching for the "perfect" doll. I also loved to draw and paint - so my passion for art mixed with my love of babies drove me to this new form of dollmaking.

I discovered "reborn berenguers" in Sept of 2001. One month later I created my first one. I wanted a baby that resembled my daughter, Alyssa, (my "little star") who lost her battle with HLHS at 4 days old in Oct of 1996. I couldn't believe how realistic it was. I made another and placed it on ebay - it sold within 3hrs of being listed. I then realized this could be a way of not only helping my family financially, but best of all, it would keep Alyssa's memory alive! You can see my first reborn here.
